Morgan Hill, CA — Amphenol All Sensors introduces the AAoA Triple Pressure Sensor, a compact sensing solution designed for air data systems in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). By integrating three pressure sensors in one factory-calibrated package, AAoA provides the pressure measurements needed to support the simultaneous derivation of airspeed, altitude, and angle of attack (AoA).
The AAoA Series combines two differential-pressure sensors and one absolute-pressure sensor, along with temperature measurement. Together, these channels support the dynamic (pitot), static (barometric), and differential-pressure measurements used by an aircraft’s air data system. Airspeed, altitude, and AoA are derived by the host system from these pressure measurements.
Building on Amphenol All Sensors’ expertise in low and ultra-low pressure sensing, the AAoA Series offers high-accuracy sensing with temperature compensation and linearity correction. I²C and SPI digital interface options support integration into embedded flight electronics.
For UAV developers working within tight size and weight constraints, integrating multiple pressure channels into one package can reduce the number of separate sensing components and simplify system integration. The AAoA Series is designed to bring the pressure inputs required for airspeed, altitude, and AoA calculations into a compact solution suitable for embedded flight systems.
The AAoA Series extends All Sensors’ UAV-focused sensing portfolio. Related solutions, including the AUAV Series, also integrate multiple pressure channels in a single module to help reduce size, power consumption, and system complexity.
